Performed cooling season preventative maintenance on Carrier 24APB6 Performance Series condensing unit and FV4C air handler. Checked refrigerant charge by measuring subcooling and superheat values. Cleaned condenser coils with approved flush solution. Inspected electrical connections, capacitors, contactors. Tested all operational modes including two-stage cooling. Replaced air filters and rinsed condensate drain line. Cycled system to ensure proper operation within Carrier's rated tolerances.
Just finished the annual maintenance on a Carrier Performance 80 gas furnace in Old Bridge, New Jersey. I checked and tightened electrical connections for safety, verified and calibrated the thermostat for precise temperature control, and inspected and cleaned the burners to ensure optimal combustion. Additionally, I lubricated moving parts for smooth functioning and ensured adequate airflow for peak performance and to prevent overheating. I also made sure that combustion air apertures weren't blocked, inspected the flue pipe for corrosion and leaks, checked the drive belt for cracks or frayed ends, and cleared the dust from the pilot. The furnace is now in top-notch condition for the winter ahead!
